Founded in 1994, Amber Brewery is one of the most modern small- or medium-sized breweries in Poland. Located in the moraine hills 15 km from the center of Gdańsk, this family-run enterprise was built and is wholly owned by Danuta and Andrzej Przybyło. In just seven years on the market, the brewery’s sales now exceed the national average.
Production. Traditional brewing methods are used at the brewery. This means that each variety of beer is brewed separately and the same extract is maintained – with the same Blg - from the beginning to the end of the production process. Large breweries use the brewing method in which high extract is diluted with carbonized water during bottling. This is also known as the "high gravity" method.
In an effort to maintain both production quality and taste, Amber Brewery bottles its beer in kegs using the sterile method. Although this limits storage time, it guarantees that the taste of the beer is not diminished by pasteurization. This bottling method is not used in so-called megabreweries due to the scale of production.
It is also no secret that the water resources in the moraine hills near Kolbudy and Straszyn are of exceptional composition. Amber Brewery uses pure water from its own sources which guarantees the outstanding and refreshing taste of its beer.
The annual production potential of the brewery exceeds 250 thousand hectoliters of beer.

Our first seasonal beer, Amber Koźlak, was introduced in 2003. This is a dark, strong Bock-type beer with an extract exceeding 15 Blg.
Zywe Beer, 14.5 Blg, natural beer, is only one beer in Poland reccomended by Slow Food Organisation.
